水力控制閥就是用水壓控制的閥門，它由一個主閥(如圖所示)及其附設(shè)的導(dǎo)管、導(dǎo)閥、針閥、球閥和壓力表等組成。根據(jù)使用目的、功能及場所的不同可變成遙控浮球閥、減壓閥、緩閉止回閥、流量控制閥、泄壓閥、水力電動控制閥等。水力控制閥分隔膜型和活塞型兩類，工作原理相同，都是以上下游壓 P為動力，由導(dǎo)閥控制，使隔膜(活塞)液壓式差動操作，完全由水力自調(diào)節(jié)，從而使主閥閥盤完全開啟或完全關(guān)閉或處于調(diào)節(jié)狀態(tài)。當(dāng)進(jìn)入隔膜(活塞控制室內(nèi)的壓力水被排到大氣或下游低壓區(qū)時，作用在閥盤底部和隔膜下方的壓力值就大于上方的壓力值，所以將主閥閥盤推倒到完全開啟的位置;當(dāng)進(jìn)入隔膜(活塞)上方控制室內(nèi)的壓力水不能排到大氣或下游低壓區(qū)時，作用在隔膜(活塞)上方的壓力值就大于上方的壓力值，所以就會把主閥閥盤壓到完全關(guān)閉的位置;當(dāng)隔膜(活塞)上方控制室內(nèi)的壓力值處于入口壓力與出口壓力中間時，主閥閥盤就處于調(diào)節(jié)狀態(tài)，其調(diào)節(jié)位置取決于導(dǎo)管系統(tǒng)中的針閥和可調(diào)導(dǎo)閥的聯(lián)合控制作用。可調(diào)導(dǎo)閥可以通過下游的出口壓力并隨它的變化而開大或關(guān)小其自身的小閥口，從而改變隔膜(活塞)上方控制室的壓力值，控制主閥閥盤的調(diào)節(jié)位置。
